Homebuyers queue up as Bellway opens doors to new development in Ebbsfleet Garden City

House-hunters turned up in their droves at the launch of a development within the Ebbsfleet Garden City project.
A big queue formed in anticipation of Bellway Thames Gateway opening the doors to the new sales centre at Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City, off Tiltman Avenue in Ebbsfleet.
Staff from the housebuilder welcomed approximately 50 visitors onto the site for the first time during the event, organising a barbecue with burgers, hot dogs and drinks in the beautiful landscaped gardens of the showhome and sales office.
They also unveiled a three-bedroom Felter showhome at the development, which is to deliver 233 new homes for the area.
Emma Hamlett, Sales Director at Bellway Thames Gateway, said: “The launch was a great success and it was wonderful to see such a fantastic turn-out. More than 50 people came along, forming a big queue outside the development gates before we opened, waiting patiently to see what we had to offer.
“It was a lovely sunny day and there was an informal party-like atmosphere as we were able to welcome visitors onto the site for the very first time. We took 13 reservations at the event and since then have had more people who were there on the day getting in touch to secure a plot.
“The number of people who attended the launch is a reflection of just how incredibly popular this site is. We released for sale an initial selection of apartments and houses and there was a massive amount of interest in all of the different homes from a range of buyers.”
The Felter showhome, which was opened on the day, features a large kitchen/diner, double doors leading from the living room to the spacious back garden and a cloakroom on the ground A couple of women sitting on a couch with a dog and a plate of food

Emma said: “The Felter is a lovely three-bedroom semi-detached property that has been specifically designed for modern family life by maximising the use of every available foot of space. However, will also be well suited for first time buyers and working professionals looking to have an at home office space.
“The showhome has been expertly dressed by our team of interior designers who have created a fabulous looking home.
“We anticipate that there will be strong demand, not only for this type of family-size home, but for all of the properties we are building on this development. We do not expect these new homes to be on the market for very long before they are snapped up.”
At Ebbsfleet Cross at Garden City, Bellway Thames Gateway is to deliver 163 new homes for private sale and 70 affordable properties for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership. There will be a collection of 148 one and two-bedroom apartments and 85 two, three and four-bedroom houses.
There is currently a choice of one and two-bedroom apartments available to reserve, with prices starting at £248,995 and £309,995 respectively, while two, three and four-bedroom houses are priced from £384,995, £444,995 and £499,995 respectively.
