Hotpod Yoga Leyton holds open day in aid of the Movement Charity

Nine Hotpod Yoga studios across London are hosting open days in partnership with London-based charity theMovement, with new customers being invited to try a class for just £5 – and all proceeds being donated to the charity. Yoga can help improve mental – as well as physical – health, and this collaboration encourages as many people as possible to give it a go, whilst giving back to a charity that is rooted in supporting those who have faced challenges including struggles with mental health.

Located in various locations all across the capital throughout September, Hotpod Yoga – whose renowned method turns the dial up on a typical yoga class, deepening the physical effects – will be offering first-time visitors classes for a £5 donation to theMovement charity – and the chance to experience the feel-good power of yoga first-hand.

The Leyton branch, located in the heart of east London in a railway archway on Midland Road, was recently opened by sisters and ex-primary school teachers Mia and Courtney. They will be holding their open day on Saturday 21st September.

Hotpod Yoga founder Max Henderson, said: “September is a natural point in the year where people look to reset routines after their summer holidays. At Hotpod Yoga, our mission is to inspire people to feel great through the power of yoga and these open days are intended to give more people the opportunity to take advantage of our unique approach. Giving as many people as possible the chance to feel the mental and physical benefits of yoga is something close to our hearts and we’re pleased to be helping support theMovement do this.”

“A Hotpod Yoga class is a one-of-a-kind experience that caters to all levels. It’s an immersive, multi-sensory experience that feels a million miles from the everyday. Glowing lights, rhythmic beats, aromatic scents, all wrapped up in a comfortable 37 degree heat.”

Fiona Roberts, founder and CEO of theMovement, said: “A huge thank you to Hotpod Yoga for fundraising for theMovement through their upcoming Open Days. We are so grateful for their donations and the difference it will make to breaking down barriers to exercise for survivors of domestic violence, sexual exploitation, homelessness and correlated disadvantages.”

The open days will be happening throughout September. Dates and locations will be:

Hotpod Yoga Brixton, Dulwich, Putney and South Wimbledon

Weekend 21st & 22nd September

TheMovement is a charity who provide weekly safe and inclusive sessions across London for women who many not have the opportunity otherwise. Their beneficiaries are women of very low socio-economic status who have experienced disadvantages, often including an overlap of poverty, adverse mental health and persistent exposure to traumatic situations, including domestic violence and sexual exploitation. All donations will go straight towards helping them with this cause.
