Hounsfield Boilers shortlisted for HVR Awards
Leading oil boiler manufacturer, Hounsfield Boilers, has been shortlisted for the prestigious HVR Awards for ‘Best Domestic Product’ for its revolutionary new wall-hung boiler. The awards are set up to celebrate the very best products in the heating, ventilation, and refrigeration industry and the winners will be announced via a virtual ceremony next month. The heating industry is incredibly important, throughout the world there are professionals that can improve and adapt homes to keep them warm and safe throughout the year. Whether someone is looking for heating services in the Los Angeles area or for their home in London, they seek out the best, so these types of rewards are important for those companies who do what they can for the population.
Andrew Hounsfield, MD, set up Hounsfield Boilers in 2008 with a desire to revolutionise the domestic boiler and make products far more sustainable. He says: “I had worked for some of the biggest UK boiler companies, but I had become frustrated – manufacturers had become too price focused, which had driven down the quality of the boilers on offer. I decided to put the customer first and invent a boiler which would be built to last, whilst also minimising the lifetime running costs for the homeowner.
He added: “I also created a fresh new practical design that’s easy to install and service for the installer, whilst still delivering a value for money product. Thanks to my engineering background I developed an oil-fired boiler that satisfied these objectives and also created a high-performance boiler with a host of features not found on any other in the marketplace.”
In 2019 Hounsfield added the wall-hung boiler to its collection, which was quickly snapped up by heating engineers and homeowners. Production at the Hounsfield factory has continued throughout the pandemic and sales are on the up. Earlier this year Hounsfield Boilers was also shortlisted for H&V News awards for ‘Best British Boiler’, this award is also due to be announced this Autumn.
