Houseplant Hideout Installation Launches in London to Combat Nature Deficit

The ‘Houseplant Hideout’, a new immersive installation designed to bring alive the transformative effect of surrounded by houseplants, has been unveiled in East London today.

Designed by award-winning architect DaeWha Kang and botanist James Wong, the new towering 6-metre landmark is an example of the growing biophilic movement taking place in cities across the world in a bid to bring more nature into our living and workspaces.

The biophilic installation, free to visit for visitors, was created in response to new research from Thejoyofplants.co.uk highlighting just how critical biophilic design has become with half of people saying they feel more productive and happier when surrounded by houseplants.
