Garden furniture retailer Moda Furnishings recently did a study looking at how much having a garden can increase the value of your home. Moda has gathered and analyzed data from a variety of cities across the UK to find where having a garden adds the most value!

By comparing average prices of homes with gardens vs homes without gardens, Moda has been able to see on average how much more people are willing to pay for that coveted outdoor space. It comes as no surprise that residents of the big smoke crave that private outdoor space perhaps a bit more than other cities and are willing to put out the money to prove it.

On average houses in London sell for around £510,000. Moda’s research showed that on average those with a garden or outdoor space sold at a price 250% higher than those without! So if you’re one of the lucky ones to have some outdoor space in London you’d be doing well to appreciate it and make the most of the space.
