HUGH MYDDELTON HOUSE REMEMBERING SULTAN

Hugh Myddelton House in Southgate decided to celebrate a communal prayer for Sultan Ibrahim.

A communal prayer was conducted for one of our residents who passed away this month, Sultan Ibrahim. Sultan was an incredible beautiful soul who would make everyone’s day by spreading great joy. She had such great humour and was incredibly friendly to everyone who came across her.

Sultan joined in April of 2018, wanting to continue her journey of life with us which was such a great honour. Her family, having been with us for so long, decided to conduct the funeral prayer for Sultan here at Hugh Myddelton as this was her second home. Being a welcoming multicultural home, we celebrate all at Hugh Myddelton hence we were privileged to do so.
The public turnout was incredibly touching as everyone recounted their stories of how Sultan impacted our lives in such a meaningful way.

General Manager at Hugh Myddelton care home, said: It is a great honour to host the funeral prayer here. We will always remember her and her bouncy personality. She was the great joy of our home.”

Her son, Ali, says “Thank you to everyone for looking after my mother. She spent her last five years in this home and that is why I chose to do her prayer her as this was her second home. “

Our lovely carer Noureza who spent a lot of time looking after Sultan throughout the years says “I will always remember her as a lovely and funny person. She will always be in our hearts”.
She would have turned 97 last week unfortunately it was not meant to be.
