Hyde Park Winter Wonderlands appoints new Board of Directors, including Chief Magic Officer and Director of Thrills
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has appointed a special group of very talented children to their Board of Directors, to make sure that Winter Wonderland is the world’s best destination for festive fun this year.
The Board will be responsible for the most essential aspects of the Winter Wonderland experience, including the Christmas magic, rollercoasters, sweet treats and ice attractions. All the new appointments have been said to be the best in industry in their respective fields and are highly qualified for their new roles.
The appointments include Betsi Rose Powley as CMO (Chief Magic Officer), taking on the role of maintaining the festive spirit and Christmas magic around the park. Betsi is 10 years old and a cancer survivor who since winning her battle now makes comfortable, adaptive pyjamas for children in hospital undergoing chemotherapy.
Jaxson Fraser, 6 years old, takes on the position of Director of Thrills, overseeing and testing out the rollercoasters in the park, such as Ice Mountain, The Time Machine and Eurocoaster, to ensure that they are thrill-worthy. Jaxson comes highly experienced in rollercoasters as one of the UK’s biggest fans, having taken one ride for a spin 109 times in one day.
Appointed as Chief Candy Officer, Kezia Osei-Adjei will oversee the sweet treats in the park. Kezia is 15 years old and ready to apply her deep passion for baking and expertise as winner of Junior Bake off 2022, to testing out the sweet treats around the park and advising on recipes at the dessert stalls.
Romy Davies Jeans, 11 years old, takes on the role of Executive Ice Director, ensuring the Ice Rink is perfect for gliding on and that the Magical Ice Kingdom is iced to the optimum temperature at all times. An ice-skating prodigy, Romy is uniquely qualified for the position, having featured on ITV News when she was selected as one of British Ice Skating’s Young Stars aged seven.
The boards joins the Winter Wonderland team at an opportune time, in the busy weeks in the run up to Christmas and are eager to take on their new responsibilities.
Betsi Rose Powley, Chief Magic Officer, said, “I am delighted to have been hired by Santa himself as his right hand to keep the festive spirit strong around the park. I am taking the role very seriously and look forward to making sure everyone is having fun at Winter Wonderland”.
