Witness London’s glistening bridges on an Illuminated River Official Boat Tour

Back by popular demand, see London at its glistening best on an Illuminated River Official Boat Tour operated by Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in partnership with the Illuminated River Foundation. Resuming last week, the boat tours will run through to year end between Tower and Lambeth bridges. Journey along the River Thames and witness the longest public art commission in the world, nine illuminated bridges in all their glowing glory, while learning from official City of London Guides and City of Westminster Guides about the history of the city and its bridges. Tours last 40-minutes and depart from Tower Pier on either Thursdays or Saturdays at 9:30pm, costing £12.50 for adults and £8.50 for children aged 5-15 years, with children aged 4 and under travelling free of charge*.

Take a sonic journey along the River Thames

Discover London through sound and space. “float!” by Felix Taylor, launched as part of Totally Thames 2021 and co-commissioned by Uber Boat by Thames Clippers and Thames Festival Trust, is a unique composition influenced by the sights and sounds experienced on board the River Bus. The soundtrack is available online or audiences can scan the QR code available on board the vessels to stream “float!” allowing travellers to be immersed into the ‘rhythm Thames’ with odes to different places and stories from London Bridge City to Royal Wharf piers. “float!” was produced by MSCTY, and the work forms part of a wider musical journey, MSCTY x Thames, a collaborative initiative with Team London Bridge and the Royal Docks Team.
