Independent Vietnamese kitchen Ladudu marks Chinese New Year with opening at Grand Union’s canalside community

Ladudu, a brand-new independent Vietnamese kitchen fully opens to the public today, 18th February, at Grand Union, a canalside neighbourhood by Berkeley Group in Wembley.

Founded by Teresa Le, Ladudu combines a passion for home-cooked dishes with creative interpretations of Vietnamese cuisine. Diners can enjoy a wide range of classic Vietnamese dishes, including fragrant pho, rich curries, fresh Vietnamese salads, stir-fries, matcha beverages, and homemade desserts. The menu also features a selection of vegan options, alongside weekly specials, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Community is at the heart of Ladudu: the restaurant sources its vegetables and halal beef and chicken from local suppliers at Park Royal, just across from Grand Union, while a private dining space offers a range of family-friendly community workshops and interactive cooking classes so visitors can prepare, cook and savour authentic Vietnamese dishes themselves. The restaurant also offers a dedicated “play” space for children, complete with its own miniature kitchen, to create an engaging environment for younger guests to explore their love of food.

Taking its love of homestay cooking one step further, Ladudu also sells its signature sauces and ingredients, allowing diners to recreate their favourite flavours in their own kitchens, and add a Vietnamese twist to their everyday favourites.

Ladudu at Grand Union is open every day of the week between 11:00 and 17:00, except Tuesdays. Ladudu is located at 10 Quay Walk, Stonebridge HA0 1DY.

Teresa Le, Ladudu Founder & Owner, said: “Ladudu is all about happy, healthy, and hearty food. The name itself draws inspiration from the Vietnamese language, with “đủ” meaning enough – an important reminder of balance needed in all things. This philosophy runs throughout the menu, which focuses on nourishing dishes made using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

“Grand Union’s accessible location and friendly local community make it the ideal home to launch our new restaurant. After over 15 years working in the food industry, including running a successful restaurant in West Hampstead, I look forward to bringing Ladudu’s fresh flavours to Wembley, and becoming a key part of this thriving neighbourhood.”

Marcus Blake, Managing Director at Berkeley Group, added: “Supporting local entrepreneurs is a key part of our vision for Grand Union’s lively neighbourhood, and Teresa’s passion and creativity perfectly reflects the spirit of the community we are building here.

“By bringing together exciting independent ventures alongside our high-quality homes, public spaces and bespoke retail and leisure offerings, we are able to build a unique lifestyle destination that allows residents to live, eat, work, work-out and socialise – all in one place.”

Ladudu is the latest business to join the ever-growing selection of independent stores and cafes at Grand Union, a new, all-encompassing canalside community in Wembley, being delivered by Berkeley Group.
