Brofoz explores the intersection of individuality and urban life through bold, stylised oil portraiture. After moving from the wide-open landscapes of Idaho to the vibrant, diverse streets of London, she became fascinated by the stories behind unfamiliar faces. Her work captures this curiosity, using illustration as a way to process her new environment. Are they lonely? Are they happy? Where are they going? Where have they come from?

In this series, Brofoz draws inspiration from her daily commute into Camden, reimagining the lives of the people she encounters through expressive oil pastels and verbal storytelling.
