IT’S ACTION TIME FOR NEW HOMES IN HARROW NAMED AFTER PIONEERING PHOTOGRAPHER

In a nod to iconic English photographer James Robertson, Barratt London has announced the launch of the Robertson Apartments at its site Eastman Village in Harrow – offering a selection of one, two- and three-bedroom apartments to prospective buyers, situated in the heart of a top London redevelopment area.

Located on the site of the former Kodak film factory, Eastman Village is part of a larger £1.75bn improvement scheme in Harrow which will include two new schools, 3,000 jobs, shops, leisure facilities and commercial space. Boasting five different train lines running into the capital, and a choice of more than 30 local schools in Harrow that have been given the top Ofsted rating of “Outstanding”, the development is set to be a popular location for families and commuters alike.

Barratt London’s references to the history of photography begin with the site’s name, George Eastman – the village’s namesake was the founder of Kodak, the company that invented roll film and brought photography to the masses. The latest block, Robertson Apartments is named after one of the first war photographers who was best known for his iconic and influential photography during the 1800s.

The newest launch at Eastman Village is 6 storeys tall. Apartments come in one-, two-and three-bedroom layouts with spacious open-plan living and a balcony or terrace, providing residents with that all-important outdoor space. Green space can be found in abundance in the surrounding areas too – these new homes will be set next to a 2.4-hectare landscaped park which will serve as the new Green Link in the heart of residential Harrow. The block will also be positioned next to the extension of the link which leads into the recently restored Headstone Manor park, part of the ‘Parks for People’ project

Due for completion in late 2025, the new building has the added benefit of being one of the nearest blocks to London Overground links at Eastman Village. There is also a planned residents’ gym, cafés, restaurant, and an on-site supermarket as part of the new block.
