KERB at COWCROSS YARDS LAUNCHES AN EGGCELLENT EASTER EGG HUNT
Nestled between Cowcross Street, Britton Street and St John Street, and a stone’s throw from Farringdon Station, the newest street food hotspot in the heart of London, KERB at Cowcross Yards market, is launching a new Easter egg hunt for visitors to win exciting prizes.
On 5th April from 10:00am to 2:00pm, visitors are invited to hunt for eggs hidden around the Yard and close-by streets, and exchange them for a free lunch at the market on the same day. The winners of KERB at Cowcross Yards’ first ever Easter egg hunt stand the chance to win one of 100 free lunches, with one lucky visitor winning a free street food lunch at the market for a month. Market go-ers are encouraged to get down early, as the first visitors to redeem their free lunch will also receive a KERB at Cowcross Yards tote bag.
KERB at Cowcross Yards is the perfect location to enjoy a delicious lunch this Easter week. Visitors will have the opportunity to feast on a variety of fresh flavours and delicious cuisines from KERB’s newest street food talent, the InKERBator traders, each serving mouth-watering dishes. These talented entrepreneurs have been hand-picked to bring their unique flavours and innovative ideas to the community. The line-up for Wednesday, 5 April includes:
• BOROBUDU – Taking their name from a Balinese temple, Borobudu serve the ultimate Nasi Goreng and sticky Satay skewers.
• HOT ROCKET – Hot Rocket is the latest passion project from professional chef, Andrew who has been preparing mouth-watering sandwiches such as the Cuban Sandwich stuffed with porchetta, Swiss cheese and honey roast ham
• YA’LA – Ya’la’s Middle Eastern vegan shawarmas will please vegans and carnivores alike with stuffed pitta’s that pack a punch!
• FOODIES AND GRUBBIES – After a sell out pop-up in Bristol, Javier is bringing saucy wings, the iconic ‘Grubbie Burger’ and loaded chips to the Easter lunch market
• EAT ARGENTINA – The brother and sister duo, Euan and Sophie, are the force behind Eat Argentina’s juicy menu serving steak (three ways) and empanadas with classic fillings like minced beef or spinach and cheese
• AMANI KITCHEN – Amani’s dishes fuelled NHS emergency departments during the pandemic and her generosity, passion and flavours are packed into the goodness of their falafel mezze box, topped with stuffed vine leaves, zaatar hummus and fresh tabouli salad
• RACHEAL COOKS – After quitting her corporate gig, Racheal’s venture serving jerk chicken, suya beef and jollof rice have risen to popularity, quickly becoming one of Farringdon’s fan favourites
• THE GREEK POT – The Greek Pot is the side hustle of two friends with a passion for authentic Greek food and their layered moussaka nest is a dish you definitely do not want to miss
Entrance to KERB at Cowcross Yards’ EGGcellent Easter Hunt is completely free and will be open to the public from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Wednesday 5th April, with food served 11:30am to 2:30pm. Standard market opening hours are 11:30am to 2:30pm every Wednesday and Thursday.
