Langan’s Brasserie host a Oyster Masterclass & Seafood Dinner with the Wright Brothers
Langan’s Brasserie is thrilled to announce that they are set to collaborate with the renowned Wright Brothers for an exclusive evening filled with exquisite, premium seafood on Tuesday, 15th October 2024, from 18:30 to 21:30. Priced at £150 per person, this special event combines a hands-on oyster masterclass with a bespoke dinner for an evening that has been perfectly crafted for London’s biggest seafood lovers.
The evening kicks off with an oyster masterclass led by Ben Wright, co-founder of Wright Brothers. With two decades of experience building a trusted seafood brand, Ben will guide guests through the art of oyster shucking, tasting, and pairing, sharing his expertise and passion for the finest shellfish. Guests will gain exclusive insights into the Wright Brothers’ approach to sourcing and serving the freshest oysters, which have earned them a reputation as the go-to seafood supplier for over 500 top UK restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments.
After the masterclass, guests will be treated to a carefully curated seafood dinner crafted by Group Head Chef Benjamin Mellor. The evening’s menu showcases the freshest seasonal ingredients, complemented by wines chosen by Head Sommelier Yann Prigent, creating an exceptional dining experience reflective of the Wright Brothers’ commitment to quality.
The menu will begin with canapés, paired with Ruinart Blanc de Blancs brut NV, followed by a selection of Wright Brothers Oysters, served with lemon and shallot vinaigrette, accompanied by Chablis Terroir de Chapelle, Patrick Piuze 2023. Starters include a rich Bouillebaisse with red pepper rouille and croutons, complemented by Whispering Angel, Provence Rosé 2023.
For the middle course, guests will indulge in a Selection of Day Boat Fish, including Grilled Monkfish, Dover Sole Meunière, and Seabass en papillote, served with a variety of sides and sauces. This will be paired with Auxey-Duresse “Les Boutonniers”, Domaine Philippe Bouzereau 2020. The evening will conclude with a show-stopping White Chocolate Dome with vanilla sponge, milk foam, and caviar, perfectly complemented by Sauternes Chateau Lafon 2022.
