Launch of a new Carers Café – Pause & Pour at Pittsmead Grange in Hayes, Kent

This week saw the launch of a new Carers Café – Pause & Pour at Pittsmead Grange Care Home.

Pittsmead Grange is delighted to announce the successful launch of its very first carer’s café, Pause & Pour, a new monthly space created to offer carers a chance to rest, connect and enjoy some well-deserved time for themselves.

The inaugural Pause & Pour café welcomed a wonderful group of local carers who enjoyed coffee, conversation and a calm supportive atmosphere. The café is designed to provide carers with a moment of downtime away from their daily responsibilities, and the response from those who attended was overwhelmingly positive.

Adding an extra touch of relaxion, the event was kindly supported by a local Hayes business, Baan Nuad Thai Massage, whose therapists generously offered head massages throughout the session. This contribution was warmly received and helped make the launch event feel truly special.

“We were so pleased to see the carers taking time to pause, chat and recharge” said Siddharth Vaghela, General Manager of Barchester’s Pittsmead Grange. “The sense of community in the home was lovely and it confirmed just how important spaces like this are”

Pittsmead Grange looks forward to welcoming both returning and new faces in the months ahead, continuing to offer a friendly, relaxed environment where carers can make friends, share stories and support each other.

Moving forwards, Pittsmead’s Pause & Pour Carer’s Café will continue on the first Thursday of every month – offering a regular, welcoming space for carers to take a break, unwind and relax in a supportive environment.
