Lena Lu Launches Disney Stitch Range this June

These are the delicious new Open Rye Danish bakery and coffee house Ole & Steen has unveiled in celebration of the long-awaited summer.

Ole & Steen will celebrate Midsummer – a Scandinavian festivity that honours the summer solstice – by launching a fresh and flavourful Open Rye sandwich range, created in collaboration with acclaimed Danish chef and cookbook author Trine Hahnemann.

Trine is a leading figure in Danish food culture and well known to UK audiences through her appearances on the Great British Bake Off and Saturday Kitchen.

A long-time fan of Ole & Steen, Trine brings her deep knowledge of Scandinavian cuisine and her passion for sustainability to this brand-new range. The Danish chef and author is known for her love for food that’s rooted in place, seasonality, and tradition.

She has just launched her new book called Eat Copenhagen and a selection of these recipes will exclusively be shared with Ole & Steen guests.

Launching on Tuesday 17th June, the Open Rye menu replaces the current selection and offers a new, elevated taste of Denmark, combining high-quality ingredients, seasonal flavours and Ole & Steen’s signature carrot rye base. Each sandwich is hand-crafted and packed with vibrant toppings – from smoked fish and creamy herbs to bright vegetables and Scandi-inspired salads.

The new range features Carrot Rye topped with fresh ingredients including smoked salmon, herb and lemon cream cheese, fennel, fresh dill and micro herbs. There’s roast beef, horseradish mayonnaise, spinach, pickled red onions, cucumber and micro herbs. As well as green pea, herb and chicken salad, fresh asparagus and micro herbs. To finish the Carrot Rye topped range there’s smashed avocado and peas, jammy egg, mixed seeds and pea shoots.

The new range will be available at all Ole & Steen bakeries and continues the brand’s commitment to sharing moments of hygge – that uniquely Danish feeling of comfort, joy and good company – through every bite.

To mark the launch, Ole & Steen will host THE summer party of the season – a must-attend VIP champagne media event – at their St James bakery in central London. Taking place on Tuesday 24th June at 6.30pm, this exclusive evening will transform the bakery into a midsummer celebration of flowers, flavours, culture and Scandinavian hospitality. Now in its second year, the event is set to become a highlight of the summer calendar.
