Leyland SDM Shows NHS Workers Its Support
A leading hardware and decorating merchant with 23 stores across London has displayed its support for NHS workers by granting “priority” access to its branches during the coronavirus crisis at all times.
Leyland SDM, which has remained open to assist the people of London with carrying out essential maintenance and DIY repairs, will allow any health service worker immediate entrance to any branch they visit.
Jonathan Jennings, Chief Executive at Leyland SDM, said: “Along with the rest of the country, we are full of admiration for the incredible efforts of our NHS workers during these exceptionally difficult times. As a small gesture of our appreciation, we are offering anyone who works for the NHS priority access to all our stores to save them precious time.
“While being on the frontline of the nation’s battle against Covid-19 is clearly their top priority, if any NHS workers need to carry out some essential maintenance and repairs at home, hopefully this opportunity to go straight to the front of the queue will be an assistance.”
The company has also seen a surge in demand for its contact-free delivery service, which is in operation across the capital.
Jonathan added: “In line with Covid-19 advice issued by the government around hardware stores, we have kept as many branches open as possible while maintaining the safety of our customers and colleagues as our No 1 priority.”
