Livat Hammersmith Hosts SWAP & Skills Fair in Partnership with DWP and H&F Works

Livat Hammersmith is partnering with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and H&F Works to host a unique event centred around Sector-Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) – a reimagined take on the traditional jobs fair designed to connect local people with real training .

Taking place on Tuesday 14th July, 10:30am–2:30pm in the Livat Atrium, the free event will bring together up to 12 SWAP providers, careers advisors, and skills workshops – giving attendees everything they need to take the next step in their career journey.

The Sector-Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) helps people who are looking to start a new career gain the skills, training, and support needed to secure employment. Free short courses are available both online and in person, covering CV creation, interview preparation, and potential work experience opportunities. Completion of training could also lead to job interviews. Training opportunities are available across a range of sectors including Construction, Security (SIA licence), Health and Social Care, Hospitality, Civil Service, Business Admin, Fitness Training, Customer Service, and NHS (Admin/Care).

Providers in attendance will be on hand to speak directly with visitors, raise awareness of current and upcoming SWAP opportunities, and register interest from those looking to enrol – offering a direct route into training programmes that lead to real jobs.

Memo Hussein, Meeting Place Manager at Livat Hammersmith said: “At Livat, we’ve always believed our role extends beyond being a shopping centre, we’re a place where the local community can come together and grow. We’re helping people build genuine pathways into work, and we’re so proud to be bringing that opportunity right to the heart of Hammersmith.”

Entry is free, and no pre-registration is required. Visitors are encouraged to drop in any time between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
