With the cost of living continuing to rise, Livat Hammersmith is offering a helping hand to the local community this winter, by partnering with the Green Doctors to run a free energy saving clinic in the Meeting Place.

To mark Fuel Poverty Awareness Day on 2nd December, visitors will be invited to visit the Green Doctors pop-up stall to receive professional tips and advice on how to cut energy bills this winter.

Running for over 15 years, the Green Doctors are a charity organisation offering free and impartial energy advice to help residents stay warm, save money and live greener. Their professional consultants will be able to offer visitors support on everything from how to reduce energy use in the home to accessing Government support schemes and applying for energy or water debt relief.

Since opening its doors in February this year, Livat Hammersmith has found its place in the local community, supporting multiple local organisations and initiatives to provide better everyday lives for the people of Hammersmith and Fulham. Alongside retailers such as IKEA, H&M and Sainsbury’s, Livat Hammersmith recently welcomed the Library of Things – a community-powered social enterprise that helps people save money and reduce waste by affordably renting out useful items like drills, sound systems and sewing machines. The building was recently awarded a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certificate for its environmental credentials.
