LOCAL COMMUNITY INVITED TO CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AT THE GREEN QUARTER - London TV

LOCAL COMMUNITY INVITED TO CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AT THE GREEN QUARTER

To mark the start of the festive season, residents of Southall and the wider west London community are invited to The Green Quarter in Ealing for an exciting Christmas extravaganza.

The celebration will kick off at 6.00pm on Wednesday 1 December with a scenic lantern procession led by local schoolchildren through the Berkeley development. This will end at Central Gardens, a newly launched park located at the heart of The Green Quarter, where the community will enjoy the switching on of this year’s Christmas tree lights.

Some delicious hot food, mulled wine and hot chocolate will be on offer at the event, with attendees having the chance to use a large snow globe for seasonal photos. Carol singing will round out the festivities, in what promises to be an evening to remember.

Piers Clanford, Managing Director of Berkeley St George, said: “At The Green Quarter we’re creating a place for the community, and we’re looking forward to hosting this festive celebration at the development’s new park. It will kick off this year’s Christmas season, with a variety of fun entertainment, as well as hot food to warm everyone up! Thank you to everyone involved in the event, especially the students from local schools leading the lantern procession.”

This year’s Christmas celebration will begin outside The Green Quarter Marketing Suite, opposite Southall Station and located on bus routes 105, 120, 195, 482, E5 and H32.

Once complete, Central Gardens will provide 4.5 acres of newly accessible open space, part of the 13 acres of local community parkland and wetlands the 3,750-home development is set to deliver. Additionally, two new footbridges will allow easy access to the adjacent 90-acre Minet Country Park, opening up access to more green space than St James’s Park and Green Park combined.
