Local favourite the Whittington Stone reopened after a £200,000 refurb

Local favourite the Whittington Stone reopened on 27th June, unveiling a brand-new look after a £200,000 investment.

The pub’s traditional charm has been enhanced with newly upholstered fabrics and designs, creating a bright and spacious venue with a fresh and appealing feel. The exterior has also received an overhaul, welcoming loyal customers from the outside in.

The Whittington Stone is the place to watch all sports and it has been kitted out with state-of-the-art TVs and a brand-new sound system, so customers can catch the action – be it the Women’s World Cup or Cricket World Cup – in the best surroundings possible. Bookable booths with individual screens will also provide the perfect option for those that prefer to keep their eyes on the game with fewer distractions.

Alongside a selection of local craft beers that include Camden Hells and Goose Island, customers will be able to choose from over 20 blends of gin, to quench their thirst. Classics such as Gordon’s and Tanqueray will be available alongside boutique blends such as OPIHR, making sure there is something for everyone.

If that wasn’t enough, the food menu will feature all the pub classics that customers crave. With fish and chips, burgers and big plate specials on the menu, customers will know where to come for top notch pub grub. Prefer pies? Aunty Edna’s Pie Kitchen will hit the spot, offering a pie and a pint for under £6 every Wednesday.

Vibrant veggie and vegan dishes will also offer tempting alternatives for those looking for meat-free meals. The aromatic Thai Lentil Pie and the veggie take on pub favourite, Battered Halloumi with Chips and Peas, are just two dishes that means the menu has something for everyone.

Stephen Cockburn, General Manager of the Whittington Stone, said: “We are excited to re-open our doors to the people of London and unveil our fresh new look to old and new customers. With tons of events coming up which will give everyone the first chance to experience exactly what we have to offer.”
