Local musician and songwriter Alex Scott will be giving back to Cancer Research UK

HE told us “I have had cancer on three previous occasions. Having recently recovered from Prostate cancer, I felt so strongly about the matter, I have written a song called ‘Me & the Big C’, which is about my direct experience of having had the illness recently, and how it has affected me on several different levels.”

HE added “I am dedicating the song to CRUK, making personal donations and giving people the opportunity to donate directly to CRUK as well, as they do such a great job researching and finding cures for various forms of cancer.”

The song will be featured on his new album called ‘Face the Music’, which will be released early in the New Year.

‘Me & the Big C’ will be available as a download from streaming services iTunes, Spotify and Amazon from 1st November.
