LOFTUS-CHEEK HEAPS PRAISE ON THE PLAYER THAT LOOKED UP TO HIM FROM THE YOUTH SET-UP
Ruben Loftus-Cheek sat down with YouTube sensation and MOBO award winner, Chunkz for the latest episode of Assumptions on the UMM YouTube channel.
Mason Mount (who scored in yesterday’s victory over Leeds United) previously said he looked up to RLC after the Chelsea forward broke into the first team. But RLC was quick to point out how the roles have reversed, as Mount has ‘done it proper’ and established himself as a key player in the Chelsea Side.
Chunkz: “You are Mason Mount’s idol”
RCL “I think I know where that’s from, he was in the youth team and he was in the first team and we did like a little collab (video) with this finishing drill or something.”
Chunkz “He looked up to you as a youth player because you broke through basically.”
RLC “Nah, he’s the one that’s done it (established himself in the team). It’s taken me a while init, I’ve had injuries and stuff but he’s done it proper. Tow loans. Bang (Vitesse and Derby Country).”
