London accountants turn advent on its head with charity campaign

Grunberg & Co, a firm of accountants based in London, has flipped the idea of advent on its head by giving gifts instead of receiving them.

The firm, which has offices in north London and the City, has been collecting a donation for every day of advent, which it intends to donate to Colindale Foodbank.

At the state of December, its team of highly skilled accountants and advisers were set the task of collecting and donating items needed by the food bank based at Trinity Church in Avion Crescent.

Impressed by the organisation’s impressive work during the last year helping thousands of local residents, the Top 100 accountancy firm has dug deep to create a stuffed hamper of goods, which includes canned goods, biscuits and toiletries.

Robert Bean, Managing Partner at Grunberg & Co, said: “This time of year people are focused on giving gifts to their friends, family and colleagues, but we wanted to go that one step further and reach out to our local community.

“Our team have really got behind this campaign and we have had a lot of fun collecting donations for the food bank. We now have a mountain of items to donate, which we hope will go some way to making people’s Christmases that little bit merrier.”
