Sara Posaz, 44, originally from Spain and now living in London, is a Level 6 Digital User Experience apprentice at Adoptstar. Through her course, Sara is working on live projects to make websites and digital spaces more accessible for people who use them. She also recently featured as a proud face of the national Skills for Life campaign, appearing in the striking campaign visuals that champion learners from all walks of life.
National Apprenticeship Week celebrates the people building their futures through hands on learning. This year’s theme focuses on real skills for real jobs – and the demand is clear in London where the digital and IT sector is valued at over £600bn. Housing top tech firms from Google to Apple and Adobe, the capital’s tech industry is booming.
Sara shares:
“Becoming a UX apprentice in has transformed my confidence and my career. I get to apply what I learn straight away, from accessibility improvements to new user journeys and I see the impact of my work on people using ours and our clients’ websites every day.
Switching careers while caring for my family felt daunting, but my apprenticeship has given me a route that fits my life and my ambitions. Working with Adoptstar’s digital and development team had helped me build hands-on UX and UI skills, learn new research techniques and redesign live products that people use all over the country.
