London based law firm targets ambitious growth plan
HARPER JAMES, the national law firm built to support growing entrepreneurial businesses, has announced ambitious expansion plans.
The firm, which has offices in London, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge, is embarking on a recruitment campaign which aims to more than double its number of lawyers, attracting 60 new solicitors by 2025 as it sets about building the “leading national law firm for entrepreneurial businesses”.
The law firm currently has 48 solicitors on its team having already made a strong start to 2022 – hiring ten new lawyers into its Commercial, Property, Corporate, Data Protection, Employment, IP and Client Services teams since January with four more due to join by the end of May.
Harper James’ ambitious plans come in the wake of strong performance during the pandemic which saw rising numbers of entrepreneurs turn to them for support in starting and growing their businesses.
The firm has also bolstered its client services team with the appointment of Nicky Collins, Client Services Manager, who will assist in ensuring the best quality of service is provided to the 2,000+ businesses Harper James supports. The client services team is a key and unique part of the firm’s business model, acting as a single point of contact for clients and ensuring that legal engagements run smoothly, on budget and on time.
Outlining Harper James’ future plans, its Founder & CEO Toby Harper, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to see us take the first step in realising our big plans for growth. Central to this is recruiting the very best lawyers and business support staff to help the growing number of businesses who are turning to the Harper James way of receiving legal support.
“Our aim is to build the leading national law firm for entrepreneurial businesses. We have already welcomed new staff to the Harper James family this year and are looking to recruit many more by the end of the year. “The interest we’ve had from candidates so far, and the number due to join, is a validation that what we do and the way we operate, truly sets us apart from other legal service providers in the industry.”
Harper James’ recent senior appointments include:
Nicky Collins – appointed as Harper James’ Client Services manager.
Shirin Hussin – joined as a Senior Commercial and Intellectual Property Solicitor
