London brand Damson Madder is celebrating its 5th birthday
London brand Damson Madder is celebrating its 5th birthday in March 2025, with a month-long roster of headline marketing activations, alongside the launch of their Spring Summer 2025 collection, to mark this milestone moment.
Damson Madder was launched in the Spring of 2020 by Founder Emma Hill, with the intention of building a new contemporary womenswear brand that put ethical production, quality, and longevity of its garments at its core, without compromising on exciting design and accessible pricing.
Fast forward 5 years, and the brand is going from strength to strength with the last 12 months seeing a 402% increase in gross sales year on year, and particularly rapid growth in the US market, seeing a 636% increase in gross sales for 2024, in tandem with a hugely successful New York pop-up during NYFW in September 2024.
The SS25 collection is a celebration of much of the design handwriting that has seen Damson Madder achieve cult status with fans around the world. The main collection continues Damson’s enduring love affair with vintage shapes and prints, inspired by long European road trips spent discovering flea markets and vintage stalls off the beaten track. Dresses and co-ords feature pretty broderie and embroidery detailing, contrasted with boxy, boyish culottes in utility shapes, and the brands bestselling graphic tees featuring bespoke illustrations from the brand’s Creative Director evoking warmer days adorned with tossed salads, cocktails, and gelato motifs.
Alongside the main collection, March also sees the launch of an occasion edit of truly stand-out dresses and matching sets, perfect for summer events and weddings.
Bolstering the seasonal offering even further is Damson Madder’s first ever eyewear collection, a capsule of 7 hero sunglasses styles, all made from 100% recycled cellulose acetate, with polarized lenses and cases made from eco-friendly cork.
In celebration of their 5-year anniversary, Damson will mark the occasion with activations on both sides of the Atlantic. The ‘5 Years of Damson Madder’ London pop-up will see the brand take residence in Covent Garden for a 4 day pop-up store, giving customers the opportunity to discover the new collections in person, alongside an exclusive range of non-profit birthday ‘merch’; limited edition tote bags, tshirts and caps being sold instore with 100% of profits going to the brand’s charity partner Wen (Women’s Environmental Network).
Not forgetting Damson’s burgeoning community in the USA, the brand will also host an intimate birthday dinner party in New York City.
In addition to successes across Damson Madder’s DTC channels, the brand has also seen incredible growth in wholesale, with the introduction of key new accounts in the UK including Selfridges and Liberty, and the US, with the brand launching in Nordstrom and Saks 5th Avenue for Spring 25.
Continuing the month-long celebrations throughout March, and to mark the brands launch with the iconic British department store, customers who miss Damson Madder’s Covent Garden pop-up will be able to shop the SS25 collection with a bespoke installation in the contemporary womenswear floor of Selfridges on Oxford Street from 16th March – 6th May 2025.
