LONDON CASINOS TAKE PART IN 672 MILE CHALLENGE FOR CARERS TRUST
The teams at Grosvenor Casino Victoria and The Barracuda are dusting off their trainers and braving the winter cold to walk, run and cycle 672 miles for charity.
While the casinos remain temporarily closed due to current lockdown restrictions, the teams at the two central London venues are helping to raise money for Carers Trust by completing the Grosvenor to Grosvenor Charity Challenge.
Joining fellow Grosvenor Casino venues across the country, the charity challenge will see individual team members walk, run and cycle the distance between Grosvenor’s northernmost and southernmost venues in Aberdeen and Plymouth.
The Grosvenor to Grosvenor Charity Challenge has been set up with the collective aim of raising £5,000 for Carers Trust, whilst also encouraging the team to stay active during lockdown.
Austin Graham, General Manager at Grosvenor Casino Victoria, said: “The Carers Trust is an important charity close to our hearts. It delivers vital services within our community and we hope the team’s efforts will help to raise some much-needed funds.”
Nikki Barret, General Manager at the Barracuda, said: “The Grosvenor to Grosvenor Charity Challenge has been a great way for the team at The Barracuda to not only raise money for charity but also encourage each other to be a little more active during this time which is important for the team’s own health and wellbeing.”
The Carers Trust is a UK charity that works to provide support for those who live with the challenges of providing unpaid care for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Financial donations are vital in supporting the charity’s efforts.
