London charities benefit from Butcombe Pubs Community Week

Charities in London have been given a huge boost, thanks to Butcombe Pubs & Inns’ inaugural Community Engagement Week. Teams from its pubs across the region have rolled up their sleeves and organised working groups and fundraising initiatives for a variety of local charities and good causes.

In Chelsea, at the Admiral Codrington, teams organised events in aid of Marlborough High School while The Brown Cow in Fulham held a quiz and raffle raising much needed funds for Young Hammersmith and Fulham and the General Manager is also about to embark on a 10K run! Teams at The Punch Bowl in Mayfair joined in the fun by organising a raffle with live music in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Collectively, Butcombe Pubs & Inns’ Community Engagement Week has involved over 300 team members who, between them, have ramped up a whopping 1.5 million steps, 20 miles of swimming, 50 dogs walked, 10 beaches cleaned, 100 hours of volunteering, 200 meals prepared and given to those less fortunate and 1000 cakes baked, to name just a few of the huge variety of activities organised, resulting in over £23,000 raised so far…and counting.
