London Designer Outlet unveils ‘Warrior Tree’ in partnership with Solace Women’s Aid

London Designer Outlet (LDO) proudly announces the unveiling of the remarkable ‘Warrior Tree,’ a symbol of strength, unity, and community, marking a significant milestone in its partnership with Solace Women’s Aid.

The “Warrior Tree” represents a commitment to creating safer spaces in London, championing a powerful alliance between the two organisations to grow a compassionate environment for all.

Standing tall at 9 metres, the ‘Warrior Tree’ boasts vibrant threads of neon lighting, each representing the diverse walks of life within the LDO community. This stunning installation will permanently grace Retail Square, the heart of the centre.

The installation signifies the launch of a bespoke training initiative, that will empower LDO staff to identify and support individuals affected by personal situations.

Developed in collaboration and born from valuable on-the-ground insight and experiences, the comprehensive training seeks to foster safer spaces and guide LDO staff with the knowledge that will positively impact the community.

Solace Women’s Aid exists to provide advice, residency and support to women and children in London, empowering them to build safe and strong lives free from abuse and violence.

This specialised training equips LDO staff to become positive bystanders and gives management teams essential tools to sensitively support Guests.

Michelle D’Vaz-Plant, Head of Marketing at London Designer Outlet, shares her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, ‘Together, London Designer Outlet and Solace Women’s Aid forge a powerful alliance to combat domestic abuse. By cultivating a safe, accessible and supportive environment for all at the centre, we create a ripple effect of positive change that extends beyond the premises, touching the lives of individuals throughout the Wembley community and visiting from afar for events.’

Nahar Choudhury, CEO of Solace says, ‘The commitment and determination London Designer Outlet have shown to create a safe and supportive environment for all women and girls is commendable. We’re so impressed with their community spirit and compassionate intention to ensure that LDO are trained and able to recognise both the signs of domestic abuse and provide safe spaces if needed.
The Warrior Tree is a visual reminder that women can grow, thrive and survive and that our lights burn brightly. We look forward to many more collaborations in the future.’

London Designer Outlet and Solace Women’s Aid are committed to working hand in hand to make London a safer and more inclusive place for all, driving positive change. The centre continues to provide essential clothing and footwear to support Solace residents.
