London firm advises on Soutron’s international merger
The London office of GAD Commercial Solicitors and Abrams Law, a UK-based US law practice, have advised the founders of Soutron UK, a leader in digital library, archive and knowledge management software, on the UK and US legal aspects of its merger with Soutron US.
Soutron Global, the North American business, and Soutron Ltd, UK, have merged into Soutron Global Inc. to scale its global operations and acquire new development capabilities. Bloom Equity Partners backed the deal for an undisclosed sum.
Soutron Global partners with special libraries, archives, and information centres around the globe to transition them to digital technologies with innovative, flexible and easy-to-use solutions.
The Soutron knowledge system also includes Discovery, an advanced search platform that can quickly and efficiently present information from thousands of data sources in an easy-to-navigate format.
Tony Saadat, CEO of Soutron Global, will lead the combined firm. “I am very pleased to combine the many talents of our global staff to ensure that we remain focused on strong client relationships and to provide industry-leading solutions.
“We are excited to execute growth initiatives including investment into our technology, sales, and marketing programs as well as pursuing strategic M&A opportunities,”
Jonathan Abrams, director at GAD Commercial, who is also the principal US Attorney at Abrams Law, advised Soutron’s founder and managing director Graham Beastall on the US-UK cross-border transaction. He said:
“Soutron is a fantastic business which has become a global force in cloud-based library, archive, and knowledge management systems, helping hundreds of clients worldwide. The investment from Bloom Equity Partners will help it continue to be the leader in its field, and with its support, Soutron will continue to grow.”
Outgoing MD Graham Beastall said: “It brings me great pleasure to know that our future growth plan heavily aligns with our mission of putting clients at the forefront and that Bloom will be a great steward of the Soutron legacy, cultivated over three decades.”
