London firm shortlisted for national healthcare industry award following rapid expansion

Leading independent medical education provider, Nexus Healthcare Education (Nexus HE) has been selected as a finalist for the Communiqué Awards 2026 for ‘Excellence in Congress Activation’.

Founded in 2024 by Emily Harrison and headquartered in London, Nexus HE is an independent, globally operating medical education provider that specialises in translating complex scientific data and emerging clinical research into practical, engaging, and impactful learning experiences.

Recognising excellence and best practice across medical affairs and healthcare communications, The Communiqué Awards celebrate the organisations, campaigns and individuals helping to shape the future of healthcare communications.

Reflecting the theme, ‘Future’, the 2026 programme spotlights innovation, insight, creativity and forward-thinking approaches that deliver meaningful benefits for patients, healthcare professionals and communities alike.

Shortlisted in the newly introduced ‘Excellence in Congress Activation’ category, Nexus HE has been recognised for transforming a single satellite symposium into a year-long global educational ecosystem at the World Congress of Nephrology 2025.

Successfully enhancing scientific exchange before, during and after congress activity to drive engagement and long-term value, the Nexus HE initiative addressed a critical clinical challenge – managing hyperkalaemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) while maintaining guideline-directed renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitor (RAASi) therapy – through a three-phase engagement spanning pre-congress audience mobilisation, an interactive hybrid symposium, and a 12-month digital dissemination strategy.

Representing the firm’s innovative and data-driven approach to market, this latest industry recognition follows a pattern of early success for Nexus HE with the business now on track to achieve a further 70% increase in revenue by the close of 2026.

Emily Harrison, founder and managing director of Nexus HE, said: “To be recognised as a finalist at the Communiqué Awards so early in our journey is an incredibly proud moment for the team. At Nexus HE, we firmly believe medical education should not simply inform — it should drive meaningful change in clinical practice and ultimately improve patient outcomes. Being shortlisted in a category that celebrates value and engagement reflects the type of evidence-led, forward-thinking, clinical impact work we are passionate about delivering across the healthcare sector.”

Committed to delivering tailored, accessible, and outcomes-driven solutions that support healthcare professionals and improve patient care, Nexus HE works with pharmaceutical companies, medical societies, and healthcare stakeholders to advance medical knowledge, strengthen clinical practice, and help shape the future of medical education.

Taking place on Thursday 2nd July 2026 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane, The Communique Awards will unite professionals from across the sector to celebrate finalists and winners across 30 different awards categories.
