London football teams can get free kits from Octopus Energy

Octopus Energy, the UK’s largest energy supplier, is giving away 1,000 Octopus-sponsored kits to 100 teams for free, regardless of whether they’re an Octopus customer or not.

The campaign, being run in partnership with the Sun, will see the 100 selected teams being able to choose from 13 kit options in different colourways.

Octopus has already been giving football kits away as part of its existing (and separate) Octopus Kits for Kids campaign, and one of those teams is Saving Souls FC, a team for young women and girls in Lewisham, South East London.

The team was created in 2024 with the aim of creating a community, combating isolation and helping mental health. I’ve attached an image of the team in their kit, and have included quotes from the team’s founder and the team’s captain at the bottom of this email.

Teams in South-East London can apply for the kits at www.thesun.co.uk/octopuskits and applications close on 31 July.
