London Professionals Optimistic About AI’s Impact on Their Career

Despite reported fears that artificial intelligence (AI) could replace jobs, London professionals are optimistic about the technology’s potential for their work and careers. Research by Tiger Recruitment found that around half of workers in the capital see improving their AI skills as a way to secure better job opportunities and enhance their performance at work.

According to Tiger Recruitment’s survey, just 15% of London professionals are unconvinced about the potential of AI and don’t think developing their AI skills will improve their job prospects. The same percentage doubt better AI skills will help them do their job more effectively, while around a third are still uncertain about the technology’s capabilities.

When asked about the benefits of AI, only 12% believe that AI has no value for businesses. Most (78%) cite the top applications as automating processes, reducing administration and improving reporting.

“It’s great to see London professionals so upbeat and ready to embrace AI. Keeping up with the latest technology can help give workers an edge, provided they know when and how to apply it,” said David Morel, CEO of Tiger Recruitment.

“With AI, the skill lies in striking the right balance between automation and human insight and intelligence. Faster isn’t always better; a CV that reflects a candidate’s personality or a piece of work that shows careful analysis is more likely to attract an employer’s attention.”
