Attic Self Storage’s newest site has proven that a fully functioning pub can fit inside a 200 sq ft storage unit. Last night, one of its units was transformed into a micro pub for an exclusive evening to mark its Bermondsey site launch. In true, Bermondsey Beer Mile fashion, the space was kitted out with limited edition ‘Attic Ale’ craft beer, served on tap from local favourite, Southwark Brewing Company.

Standing as one of London’s smallest pubs just off the Bermondsey Beer Mile, the pop-up brought a slice of London’s classic pub culture to a completely unconventional setting. With a working bar, seating and everything needed for a proper night out packed into just 200 sq ft, the night highlighted just how much can be achieved within an Attic Self Storage unit. Whether for a growing business, a house move, or a new adventure, there’s space for every possibility.
On tap for the evening was Attic Ale, a specially branded beer created in partnership with Southwark Brewing Company. The collaboration highlights the strong sense of community in Bermondsey, with two local businesses coming together to bring something new to the area.

Attic Self Storage launched its latest facility in Bermondsey last month, offering storage units ranging from 10 to 525 sq ft, with complimentary 24-hour access and app-controlled locks for residents and businesses in the area. The state-of-the-art site offers both short and long-term storage solutions to keep your belongings safe, with award-winning customer service.
Southwark Brewing Company, based just around the corner from the Beer Mile, was founded back in 2014 by Peter Jackson and Andy Nichol. Now producing over 150 different beers from its taproom, the brewing company supplies renowned pubs across London.
Sophie Bagnall from Attic Self Storage said, “People use our storage units for all sorts of belongings and treasures, but turning one into a fully functioning pub for the night was a first.
“Bermondsey is home to one of London’s best beer scenes, and partnering with Southwark Brewing Company on Attic Ale felt like a perfect way to show just how much space one of our units can really offer.”
Peter Jackson from Southwark Brewing Company said, “We’ve been brewing along the Beer Mile since 2014, and the beer scene and community here keeps getting stronger. Seeing a pub take shape inside a storage unit was a first for us, and creating Attic Ale alongside gave us an exciting way to showcase our beer in a completely different light.”
