In contrast, the following industries saw the highest demand from candidates in London, based on the number of job applications per role:

Technology
Consultancy, Strategy & Change

Marketing & Agency
Banking & Financial Services
Digital

However, the following industries saw the highest growth in candidate demand in Q4 2025, compared to the three months prior:

Hospitality & Leisure (9%)

Accounting & Finance (1%)

Steven Wheller, Director, London at Michael Page, says: “Acting as a home base for a number of tech companies, London continues to attract top tech talent. What this data reflects, however, is how broad the city’s hiring landscape has become. While Technology leads both employer demand and candidate interest, we’re also seeing momentum build in sectors like Hospitality & Leisure, which recorded a 9% rise in applications quarter-on-quarter.

“In a market defined by sector-specific trends, employers who understand this industry nuance will see the most success in London’s competitive hiring landscape.”

Michael Page has recently unveiled a new, strengthened network of Hub Offices – such as London – to act as centres for specialism, training and development, alongside a network of Regional Offices housing local experts with proximity to talent and customers.

Practice Directors across key sectors such as Technology, Sales, and Manufacturing have also been newly appointed to better serve customer needs in a highly specialised market.
