London Tech Week doubles in size as it arrives at Olympia Events
One of the largest tech events in Europe this year will take place at Olympia Events this month, as London Tech Week brings 25,000 tech professionals to the venue over three days from 10 June to 12 June.
This year’s London Tech Week moves to its new venue to allow for twice as many attendees as the 2023 edition, with Olympia Events the perfect setting for the week to innovate and grow.
Recently, the latest Z/Yen Smart Centres Index showed that London retains its title as tech capital of the world for its ability to create, develop and deploy tech. Cambridge and Oxford also made it into the top 5. In 2023, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak use his keynote his keynote speech to highlight the opportunity for Britain to become a global leader in technology and government leaders are again expected to speak in 2024. They will be joined by corporate heavyweights, inspirational founders, investors and the next generation of tech superstars to fuel innovation and define the future of tech.
Janet Coyle CBE, Managing Director of Grow London at London & Partners, said: “London Tech Week gathers the global tech community, bringing together the right people, invaluable experiences and the very best ideas under all one roof. It’s pretty unique in this sense – not only just as an opportunity to celebrate tech innovation across the UK but also around the world to build a better future for us all.”
C-suite leaders from Microsoft and IBM are among the leading speakers of this year’s event which will feature speakers and exhibitors from over 90 countries as London takes centre stage in the tech world, setting the agenda for tech transformation.
The key themes for the week are:
Embracing our dynamic global tech landscape
Driving innovation to build a more intelligent world
Inspiring a sustainable, resilient and inclusive ecosystem
AI will also be a major topic of discussion, tackling the battle between innovation and regulation. Leading voices from Google Deepmind, Synthesia and DeepL will be leading the debate on how AI can be used in both the short and medium term future.
New features for 2024 include:
A Pitch Stage, showcasing the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders of the future
Investor Hours, bringing together VCs, investment banks, LPs and accelerators to share experiences
Learning Labs, where visitors can hear from experts on how to raise your first round to successfully scaling at pace
“These three days at Olympia Events will bring some of the biggest names in the tech world together and shape the future of the way we use technology to drive change, with real social impact coming from the discussions in our venue. We’re thrilled to welcome all attendees and to be facilitating the growth of this event, doubling in size to one of the biggest technology events in Europe and highlighting London’s progression to one of the tech capitals of the world.” Anna Golden, Commercial Director, Olympia Events.
