LONDONERS’ TOP KARAOKE SONG REVEALED

Let It Go, the main theme from Disney’s animated blockbuster Frozen, has been revealed to be Londoners’ favourite karaoke song.

Idina Menzel’s hit is the most requested song at Leaf & Cane, the vibrant late-night entertainment bar offering Karaoke Powered by Lucky Voice located in Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars.

Dancing Queen by ABBA and Mr. Brightside by The Killers also top the charts, while Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline comes in at number four, perhaps thanks to those football fans who choose the venue to watch their team play and stick around to celebrate a victory.

Londoners are keen to sing their heart out to British anthems such as Wonderwall by Oasis, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and Wannabe by the Spice Girls. But among amateur singers, film theme songs reign supreme, with The Greatest Showman’s A Million Dreams and A Star is Born’s Shallow being some of their top choices.

The data also reveals an appetite for duets, with Valerie by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson positioned firmly in the top ten of most-requested songs.

The list shows an eclectic mix of preferences, with iconic hits like Jolene by Dolly Parton and I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston as well as 90’s fan favourites such as I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys and No Scrubs by TLC.

Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus and Party in the U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus are also two of the American crowd pleasers heavily requested in the Capital.

Leaf & Cane is a lively bar, just moments from Blackfriars station serving a range of Latin-inspired cocktails, mocktails, premium draught beers, wine and soft drinks, alongside comfort food classics such as tacos, nachos and burgers.

One of the most popular cocktails ordered by guests is Mezcal Negroni, made with Mezcal, Vermouth and Campari. A Monkey Business is also in high demand, containing rum, banana, pineapple, mango, cinnamon and lemon.

When it comes to mocktails, Tropical Canopy is a favourite, made with a non-alcoholic spirit and enhanced with pineapple, lemon orgeat and strawberry foam.
