London’s Largest First Time Buyer Event Returns to Westminster

London’s largest event for first time buyers will return to Westminster for the fifteenth time on Saturday 2nd April 2022. Taking place at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre from 10am to 5pm, the London Home Show will host over 60 of the housing industry’s biggest names, showcasing thousands of Shared Ownership and Help to Buy properties available across London and the Home Counties.

Hosted by Share to Buy, the UK’s leading online portal for affordable homes, the London Home Show is free to attend and is expected to welcome thousands of budding buyers on the day.

A one stop shop for those looking to find out more about alternative home ownership options, attendees will be able to speak directly with the exhibiting teams, as well as attend a series of first time buyer workshops taking place throughout the day, giving visitors a chance to learn about the different home-buying options available to them from a range of industry experts. In addition, visitors will be able to attend live ‘Ask the Expert’ Q&A sessions, covering everything from understanding Shared Ownership and Help to Buy eligibility criteria to perfecting your credit score.

A new offering for 2022, a series of Affordability Workshops will be hosted with first time buyer mortgage specialists Censeo Financial, giving attendees the opportunity to ask their questions about the mortgage process and learn about the options available to them. A number of other independent mortgage advisors and solicitors will also have stands at the exhibition, offering free financial and legal guidance and answering purchasers’ questions about the buying process. The event will also offer information about quality rental alternatives including London Living Rent.

Nick Lieb, Head of Operations for Share to Buy, comments: “The London Home Show is designed to help first time buyers navigate the world of Shared Ownership and Help to Buy by giving them the opportunity to easily compare the different routes to home ownership – deciding which scheme and provider is right for them.

After over a year of virtual events and digital home viewings, it is clear that buyers still want the chance to view the options available to them and speak to industry experts face-to-face, as shown by over 3,400 guests attending the comeback in-person London Home Show event in September 2021. The London Home Show is an unparalleled resource for first time buyers in the capital and we can’t wait to welcome thousands of attendees through the doors once again for our fifteenth exhibition.”

Partnering with the largest number of the sector’s leading housing providers and sales agents to date, sponsors of the event include L&Q, Latimer by Clarion Housing Group, Peabody, SO Resi by Metropolitan Thames Valley, Southern Home Ownership, Optivo, Catalyst New Homes, Notting Hill Genesis, FABRICA by A2Dominion, Countryside Properties, Galliard Homes, Taylor Wimpey and SiteSales Property Group. All exhibitors will have their own stand, making it easy for hopeful buyers to get their questions answered directly by sales teams.
