London’s Largest First Time Buyer Show Goes Digital

London’s largest event for first time buyers is taking place online for the first time ever this year, offering attendees the unparalleled opportunity to speak with some of the property market’s biggest names, all from the comfort of their own home. Planned for Saturday 24th April from 10am to 4pm, the Virtual London Home Show will be a one-stop-shop for first time buyers looking to find out more about Shared Ownership, Help to Buy and all things affordable home ownership.

Hosted by Share to Buy, the UK’s leading online portal for Shared Ownership properties, the London Home Show is held twice a year. Usually taking place at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster, the physical show welcomes over 4,000 visitors to each event. With thousands of budding buyers expected to attend online this spring, the Virtual London Home Show will be an interactive online event, giving buyers access to all of the resources, seminars and face-to-face conversations that they’d have at the physical event, via their computers and mobile devices.

Nick Lieb, Head of Operations for Share to Buy comments: “After a challenging 12 months, in which all of us have spent an unprecedented amount of time indoors, it has never been more important to have a place to call your own and feel happy with where you live. While ‘in-person’ events have been difficult to deliver this year, the property market has certainly not slowed down, and we have seen more enquiries on Share to Buy than ever before. That’s why we were determined to create a digital version of the London Home Show, an essential resource for first time buyers trying to navigate the world of Shared Ownership and Help to Buy, this spring. We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of hopeful buyers through our virtual doors and can’t wait to see those important conversations happening once again.”

Partnering with the city’s leading housing providers and sales agents, sponsors of the event include L&Q, Clarion Housing, Peabody, SO Resi by Metropolitan Thames Valley, Southern Home Ownership, Catalyst, Guinness Homes, Countryside Properties, Red Loft and Savills. Each exhibitor will have their own virtual booth, making it easy for hopeful buyers to book appointments to speak one-on-one with sales teams, specialist mortgage brokers and conveyancing solicitors, and get their questions answered – either via live chat or through one-to-one video calls.

Throughout the day, budding buyers will have access to a number of streamed talks and seminars, led by a host of industry experts, speaking about alternative home ownership options, as well as information on the home buying process. Attendees will also be able to access a wide range of helpful explainer guides and downloadable resources, and register their interest in specific developments and book viewings.
