Man charged following attack on police officer in Leyton
A man has been charged following an attack on a police officer in Leyton.
Muhammed Rodwan, 56 (05.06.63), of Villiers Close, LU4, was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon on the evening of Thursday, 8 August.
He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on the morning of Friday, 9 August.
The officer, aged 28, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
His family have been informed and are receiving support from MPS family liaison officers.
