“Manc-overs” on offer for Londoners ahead of Wembley Oasis gigs
Will they or won’t they make it to Wembley is the question on everyone’s minds, as 45% of the UK are convinced the Gallagher brothers will break up before the tour’s completion, according to a poll by pub brand Flaming Grill.
To make sure fans get the full Oasis experience, regardless of which way it goes, a pub close to Wembley is offering fans the chance to up their Mancunian vibes with “manc-overs” available to customers ahead of the gigs in London this weekend.
Pubgoers at Flaming Grill’s ‘The Torch’ pub will receive swagger and elocution lessons from a Northern expert – allowing them to nail their all-important “sunshiiiiine” delivery.
Alongside this, the pub will be offering free Gallagher haircuts for gig goers heading to the Wembley shows this weekend.
Roughly half of Londoners (44%) have declared themselves ‘mad fer it’ ahead of the Wembley gigs, and one in seven Brits (15%) are such diehard Oasis fans that they would happily have ‘Wonderwall’ as the national anthem.
One in eight (12%) even think that swaggering frontman Liam Gallagher, 52, should be our prime minister.
William Botterill, Head of Marketing at Greene King said, “The Oasis gigs in Manchester were nothing short of biblical and the style in the crowd was supersonic. As fans keep their fingers crossed for the full tour to come around without any rows, we want to ensure our customers look the part and have the Mancunian swagger and singing voice which is why we introduced our new “Mancover” service at The Torch in Wembley. We’re not just serving pints this summer – we’re giving Oasis lovers a pub that matches their mad fer it vibes.”
The Torch is welcoming fans across all tour dates and beyond, and can be located at 1-5 Bridge Road, Wembley Park, HA9 9AB. No booking is required for the Oasis-style cuts, but fans are encouraged to be at the location for 3pm sharp to secure their supersonic look.
