Marina Abramović’s Healing Frequency at Moco Museum

The anticipated new London museum, Modern Contemporary (Moco) Museum, is thrilled to have esteemed pioneer of performance art, MarinaAbramović, as the headline artist in her exhibition, Healing Frequency. The show marks the inaugural showcase at Moco Museum’s flagship location in London and will be open for just four more weeks, closing on the 11th of March.

Healing Frequency is a landmark exhibition, featuring twelve works by the Serbian artist. Being active for over four decades, Abramović is a pioneer of performance art, famous for works such as Rhythm Series (1973–1974), Works with Ulay (1976–1988), and more recently, The Artist Is Present (2010).

The show will call on the universal capacity for transformation and healing, with Marina inviting viewers to accept the profound impact of transitory objects on the human soul and how they affect our mental and emotional experiences.

In a synthesis of global exploration, art, and spirituality, the exhibition embodies a joint mission to search the depths of our collective consciousness.

“The power of performance art, after all, lies in its ability to transform not just the artist but the audience too. The body of the artist is the medium, but so too is that of the observer. Moco understands the importance of direct experience to activate the power of art.” – Marina Abramović

The exhibition underscores
Moco
Museum’s alignment with its mission to provoke thought and inspire societal
transformation through art. Kim Logchies Prins, Founder of Moco
Museum, shares her excitement to bring
Abramović’s iconic artworks to
London.

“Marina’s
work always resonates with me; we already have several of her iconic artworks on display in our locations in Amsterdam and Barcelona. Bringing this particular selection of her artworks to
London is incredibly exciting. This exhibition holds a message
central to the ethos of Moco: one by one, we can shift our
perspective through the power of art and reshape the world via collective consciousness.”
