Market Place Vauxhall welcomes award-winning new vendors with free meals

Market Place, the indoor street food restaurant and bar brand taking the capital by storm, has added three new independent food traders to the tasty line-up at its popular Vauxhall site.

A range of freebies will be on offer to the first customers at Market Place’s renowned sushi and street food specialists Inamo Sukoshi, BBC’s million-pound menu winning meat masters The Duck Shed, and authentic South East Asian noodle brand Choy House, when they join the ranks over the coming weeks.

Japanese foodie fans can expect irresistable dragon sushi rolls, dirty duck fries, gyoza and more from Inamo Sukoshi, while those looking for umami goodness can indulge in succulent slow roasted pulled duck wraps, burgers and salads at The Duck Shed. Choy House will plate up oodles of noodles – be that in laksa, pad thai or Singapore style.

The Duck Shed will give 100 free duck or vegan wraps to its first 100 customers from 12 October, Inamo Sukoshi will be offering 100 free gyozas to its first 100 customers from 18 October, and Choy House will give away 50 free pad thai or chow mein to its first 50 guests from 9 November (with a limit of one per customer).

Blake Henderson, managing director of Market Place, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be offering our Vauxhall guests three fresh new food options this autumn. Our mission at Market Place is to champion small independent street food brands while providing support to help them reach their potential. We do this in a number of ways, including providing them with affordable rates at a fraction of the cost of a permanent high street venue, where they can benefit from high footfall locations and take their brand to the next level.”

The new traders are in good company too, and will join the likes of Rudie’s Jerk Shack, Curry on Naan Stop, Hermanos Taco House, Made in Puglia, Farm House Kebab, East & Tea Co. and Chelo who are already trading at Market Place Vauxhall.

Blake added: “We want our venues to be as inclusive and varied as possible, and are passionate about creating a melting pot of culinary delights to suit all dietary requirements and cuisine preferences. Working with the passionate and knowledgeable teams behind our three new brands is the start of a whole new chapter, and we look forward to watching them thrive at Market Place.”

The introduction of the new traders comes off the back of a successful year for the Vauxhall street food venue which celebrated its first anniversary earlier this year. Since its launch in 2022, it has been a firm favourite for street food lovers who are on the hunt for moreish flavours and an exciting space to spend time with family and friends.

Market Place first burst onto the London food scene in 2021, and has celebrated huge success, with foodies regularly flocking to its four venues in Vauxhall, Peckham, Harrow and Hounslow to get their hands on tasty street food finds from around the world.

Market Place Vauxhall is wheelchair accessible, caters to all dietary requirements, and can be found at Market Place Vauxhall, 7-11 S Lambeth Rd, London, SW8 1SP. Opening times are 11.00am-11.30pm, Monday to Sunday.
