MEET Alex Laine: the stunning Arsenal fan who “attends” every home game and has even had a Gunners star slide into her DMs – but there’s a CATCH

A stunning Arsenal fan who shares her matchday experiences at the Emirates and has even had a Gunners star slide into her DMs is racking up thousands of followers on Instagram.

But there’s a catch – she’s not even real.

After Arsenal hammered North London rivals Tottenham on Sunday, Alex Laine posted her usual content congratulating the team on their success. According to her creator, her DMs were flooded with excited Arsenal fans after Mikel Arteta’s side ensured North London is Red for another season.

It’s a weekend ritual for the influencer who’s is thought to be the Premier League’s first AI-generated super fan.

Her content is so lifelike that the creator behind her revealed an Arsenal star – who can’t be named for legal reasons – has even slid into her DMs inviting her out for dinner.

Laine is part of a new wave of AI influencers who have been dominating social media. She posts content daily centred on her passion for Arsenal, food, fashion and travel. She’s already attracted the attention of household brands like Diet Coke, and hopes to be the next big thing in football. Oh, and she hates Spurs (apparently).

Alex’s love of Arsenal has seen her build a loyal fanbase across the men’s and women’s teams – she was created to inspire young girls to get into football and shares content of her on the pitch and off the pitch.

The female-led creators behind Alex Laine hail from The Clueless AI and Pixel – two agencies who want to bring more virtual talent into the Premier League. The Clueless are also behind Aitana Lopez, the world’s biggest AI Influencer.
Diana Núñez Morales, Co-Founder and CEO at The Clueless, commented:

“AI Influencers are exploding in popularity on social media and entering the mainstream and we’re excited to be exploring niches like football with Alex Laine.

She’s the Premier League’s first AI Influencer, loves Arsenal, and connects with fans over football, fashion, food and travel.

Our ambition is to use Alex to reach the next digital generation of fans and inspire young girls to get involved in football. Since joining Instagram we’ve had several big brands get in touch to collaborate with Alex and we hope Arsenal follow suit – soon Alex will be lining up in content with Bukayo Saka and Leah Williamson.”

According to Morales, the possibilities for Alex Laine are endless because the improvement in generative AI means she could host podcasts, report on games, and host hospitality events.

“Although Alex Laine is AI, she’s just like the millions of Arsenal fans desperate to win the Premier League this season”, added Morales.
