Meet Boxpark Wembley’s newest vendors | Longboys, Udderlicious, Yamagoya and Gabagools

Boxpark Wembley opened in December 2018 with an incredible launch weekend and a host of diverse street food vendors including Zia Lucia, Ugly Dumpling and Cut + Grind. The latest foodies to join the line-up are brand-new finger-doughtnut concept Longboys, independent ice-cream creators UdderliciousJapanese ramen experts Yamagoyaand sandwich royalty Gabagools.

Led by renowned pastry chefs Heather Kaniuk and Graham Hornigold, Longboys produce full flavoured, premium doughnuts with surprising flavour twists. Handmade onsite, their finger doughnuts are the perfect amount of not-too-sweetness, with highlight items including the Apple Crumble, Burnt Orange, Rhubarb and Custard, and Sticky Toffee Pecan Caramel. Boxpark Wembley marks the first site for the Longboys team and these patisserie connoisseurs are guaranteed to make you smile.

Udderlicious are independent ice-cream creators focussing on producing handmade ice cream. They first launched in 2013 in Islington and are experts at thinking up innovative and unique flavour combinations, catering for vegan and gluten-free visitors. Udderlicious’ ice cream and sorbets are made using high-quality, fresh ingredients, and ice cream purists can choose between classic flavours or challenge their taste buds with strange and complex flavour selections.

Originally founded by Masatoshi Ogata in Fukuoka, Japan, Yamagoya’s first permanent site opened over fifty years ago. Now launching at Boxpark Wembley, the ramen restaurant continues to focus on authentic Japanese dishes, offering a selection of delicious broths such as the signature Yamagoya Ramen or the fiery Tobanjan ramen. A number of traditional rice dishes will also be on offer at the new site, such as the Chicken Karaage Curry Rice and the Vegan Kakiage Curry, as well as Yamagoya’s famous raindrop cake.

Gabagools specialise in New York style subs, starting off as a pop-up stall before winning a 6-month rent-free unit at Boxpark Croydon. Following huge success at their South London site, the sandwich experts are opening their second bricks and mortar site at Boxpark Wembley at the beginning of April. Gabagools will be serving up fan favourite options such as the Cubano, Cuban slow-roast pork neck, smoked ham and swiss cheese, and the vegan Melanzana, a delicious sub stuffed with aubergine, chilli relish and crispy potato.

Alongside its latest opening of vendors, Boxpark Wembley has also announced their new leisure concept – Playbox. Offering visitors a place to Eat. Drink. Play, the recreational zone is located on the site’s upper level and features a competitive leisure theme bar and two large units. Visitors will have the use of an immense selection of entertainment and games, including a Miami style shuffle board unit, day-glo ping pong, pool and football tables.
