The playful and quirky five-star interactive storytelling performance, in collaboration with Oxford University Press, is on tour throughout 2023 and comes to The Other Palace, Victoria between 13 and 16 July with an optional post-show craft activity. Celebrating Lindgren’s much-loved literary creation, the show first performed at Queen Elizabeth Hall South Bank Centre in 2020.

Nine-year-old Pippi is strong, brave and fearless. When she comes to live in her new home with her monkey and horse but with no parents and no rules, she brings mischief, chaos and confusion to the folk of this ordinary and traditional town.

Pippi, originally created by Lindgren for her daughter, is a free-spirited girl with superhuman strength who uses a powerful mix of anti-authoritarian thinking and kindness to challenge the status quo and to bring joy to the lives of those around her.
