Mentivity Founder Inspires Year 11 Students at City Heights Academy
E-ACT City Heights Academy recently welcomed Sayce Holmes-Lewis, CEO and founder of the award-winning organisation Mentivity, to deliver an inspiring assembly to Year 11 students. Sayce shared his personal journey and encouraged students to aim high, work hard, and embrace resilience as a key to overcoming life’s challenges.
Sayce, who grew up in South East London, spoke about the experiences that shaped his determination to create opportunities for young people. From overcoming adversity to playing professional football abroad to founding Mentivity, Sayce’s dedication to supporting young people and empowering communities has had a global impact, with Mentivity positively influencing over 25,000 young people across the UK, Africa, and the Caribbean.
During his talk, Sayce highlighted the importance of setting aspirations, persevering in the face of adversity, and believing in one’s ability to achieve success. He also spoke about his work through Mentivity to provide mentoring, education, and safe spaces for young people, enabling their growth and development.
Sayce Homes-Lewis said:
“It was an honour to speak at City Heights and connect with such a fantastic group of young people. Life is full of challenges, but by believing in yourself, working hard, and staying focused, you can achieve incredible things. I hope today’s assembly inspired the students to see their potential and take steps towards fulfilling their ambitions.”
Students were fascinated by Sayce’s personal story, as well as his insights on the power of resilience and the importance of community.
