Moco Museum London announces Healing Frequency, a new performance art exhibition by globally acclaimed artist Marina Abramović (b.1946), opening 11 September.

Bringing together 12 works from Abramović’s series Transitory Objects for Human Use, including one piece that has been acquired into Moco’s collections, visitors will be invited to come together and participate in a state of unified healing in a new exhibition that will be the first temporary exhibition at Moco Museum’s major new flagship location in London’s Marble Arch.

Providing the next chapter in this important series of works in Abramović’s career, dating back to the 1990s, a series of chairs, beds, and benches adorned with Abramovic’s signature crystals, will invite public interaction and encourage moments of contemplation. Visitors can join in silence, reflection or conversation as they explore the exhibition and experience the transformative power of performance art.

At the centre of the exhibition will be the newly acquired Chair for Human Use with Chair for Spirit Use, featuring two chairs in which visitors will have the opportunity to sit before each other and enter a moment of shared energy, ‘activating the power of art’ as Abramović explains.

Through Healing Frequency, Abramović and Moco Museum challenge visitors to disconnect from the outside world, reassess their reliance on technology, and embrace the potential for personal enlightenment through artistic expression. The exhibition is rooted in Abramović’s practice of performance art, emphasising its ability to catalyse change not only within the artist but also within the observer.
