Monkey Shoulder and Callooh Callay to host World’s Loudest Silent Whisky Tasting and sell bespoke caps for charity
As part of this year’s London Cocktail Month, Monkey Shoulder, the 100% malt made for mixing, is taking over popular Shoreditch cocktail bar Callooh Callay from 18th to 24th October for a week of bespoke cocktails, fun and festivities, plus a Monkey Shoulder Swag Shop which will raise money for Hospitality Action through sales of limited-edition sneakers and caps.
Monkey Shoulder is setting up shop in Callooh Callay for a whole week, adding a splash of the brand’s vibrant personality to the venue with an old school arcade and popcorn machines, a one-of-a-kind whisky tasting event, a week-long swag shop offering branded merch and, of course, a delicious array of Monkey Shoulder cocktails to be enjoyed every night.
On Thursday 21st October, the famed Monkey Shoulder World’s Loudest Silent Whisky Tasting event will return to bring malt and music together in a silent disco-esque fashion. Free to join, the 15-minute session will have drinkers dancing through a truly unique whisky tasting of three different Monkey Shoulder cocktail favourites. Through their headphones, partygoers will enjoy a mix of beats and deets as a live DJ shares fun facts with each new cocktail.
As well as serving up guaranteed good times, the takeover will also raise funds for UK-based Hospitality Action, which offers vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality. Together, Monkey Shoulder and Callooh Callay have created a limited-edition black and orange snapback cap which will be available to purchase at the bar for £15, with each purchase coming with a free cocktail.
