To celebrate Mother’s Day this year, OpenTable – the world’s leading provider of restaurant reservations – has revealed where to find the ultimate Mother’s Day dining deals.
With almost half of the nation (48%) saying they plan to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, one fifth (21%) are choosing to dine out for the special occasion. For the majority of diners (74%), the quality of the food was the most important element when selecting a restaurant to celebrate. Followed by location (50%), quality of service (49%) and ambience (38%). Those aged 56-65 ranked higher than average, with 87% of the age bracket prioritising the quality of food above all else, compared to just 67% of 18-22 year olds.
Interestingly, only a quarter (25%) of diners were concerned about restaurants being family-friendly. With an increasing number of establishments catering for groups of all ages and sizes, results suggest that visitors’ needs to seek out family focused restaurants is starting to diminish.
